Born in Great Falls, Montana, Nancy attended St. Johns/ St. Benedict and graduated in 1975. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in biology with a minor in secondary education. She then attended the Montana State University and graduated in 1978 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She was named to the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honorary Society. In 1996 she received her Masters of Science degree from Northeastern University specializing as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She has done training at the Montana Deaconess neonatal intensive care unit, a school based clinic in Taunton, Massachusetts as well as at Pediatric Specialists in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Nancy has worked in other positions leading to her position as a nurse practitioner. These have included the hematology outpatient clinic at Boston Children's Hospital, public health nursing, neonatal intensive care, clinical instructor at Northeastern University and the outpatient clinics at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. She became a member of the provider team at Pediatric Specialists in 1996.

Within her field she enjoys primary care pediatrics. When not working at Pediatric Specialists Nancy enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing. She also enjoys doing volunteer work at church and school.
