Dr. Spitzer has been an important part of Pediatric Specialists since 1989. Born in New York City, Dr. Spitzer attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and graduated in 1981. She then attended Boston University School of Medicine from 1981-1985 at which time she received her MD degree. She trained in pediatrics at the Boston City Hospital program from 1985 -1988. Pediatric Specialists was fortunate when Dr. Spitzer decided to bring her considerable skills and quiet and calm professionalism to the practice.

Within the field of pediatrics, Dr. Spitzer has special interests in breastfeeding counseling and adolescent issues. She participates in Boston University School of Medicine student training program by teaching medical students within the office setting at Pediatric Specialists. At home she enjoys gourmet cooking and when the opportunity presents itself, skiing.
